Offers are the combination of product, option and pricing sold to customers
What are Offers?
Offers are the only sellable entity in Redeam Central and are built by using one of the products previously built or a combination of a product and an option. Once an Offer is created, you are required to assign inventory to it, then add it to a Rate Card which can be connected to Channels for distribution.
Products can be used to create multiple offers, but will need an option added to be unique.
Example
- City Walking Tour (product) = Offer
- City Walking Tour (product) + Audio Guide (option) = Offer
- City Walking Tour (product) + Umbrella (option) = Offer
- City Walking Tour (product) + Private Guide (option) = Offer
Please note that if you would like to combine a product and 2 options, you need to create a combo option, for example:
City Walking Tour (product) + Private Guide and Umbrella (option) = Offer
What you need to set up an Offer
- Product - more info
- Option (optional) - more info
- Taxes & Fees (optional) - more info
- Schedules (optional) - more info
Please note that when combining products and options, the most restrictive capacity between the two is assigned to the offer.
Creating an Offer
From the Pricing & Inventory menu on the left, stay on the Offers tab and select +Add Offer.
In the Create Offer screen, you need to select at least a Product to create an Offer. As explained above, you can also combine a Product with different Options to create the unique, sellable offer.
In the Policy section, policies defined during product and option creation display here. In this example, only the product had policies defined. The space below the Option is blank, which indicates there are no policies.
Please note, that if the Product and the Option have policies defined, either policy can be selected and applied to the Offer.
Select the Product Policy and click Next.
Add the Pricing Set details:
Pricing Name: name of the Pricing Set which could be the same as the corresponding schedule name
Traveler Types: the traveler types added to the product are available, it is possible to select them all or just a few.
Currency: select the currency of the offer
Schedule: the schedules created during product creation display for selection
Days & Time: pre populated from the selected schedule
Effective Range: pre populated from the selected schedule
Select Next if no taxes & fees apply to the Offer pricing.
If Taxes & Fees apply to the offer, then activate the toggle. A list of all taxes & fees created in the Taxes & Fees under Pricing & Inventory displays.
Select the applicable ones and click Apply.
Once you have added taxes & fees, add the applicable prices to Retail, Net and Gate or any combination of them, depending on what is contracted with the Reseller. Although you are only required to provide one price type, we strongly suggest providing Retail and Net at a minimum.
Please note that if you want to connect to Groupon you will need to also provide the Gate price.
Click on Finish to save and complete the Offer creation process.
Adding a second Pricing Set
From the Pricing & Inventory menu on the left, stay on the Offers tab and type the name of the Offer in the Search field. A list of offers with the search criteria displays, select the offer you are adding the Pricing Set to and click on View.
Select Add Pricing Set and fill out the details.
Activate the toggle to Apply Taxes & Fees if applicable, followed by the Retail, Net and Gate price and select Save.
The new Pricing Set displays in the Pricing Sets list.
