Creating Rate Cards and Channel Connections

In order to sell Offers, they need to be added to a Rate Card and connected to a Channel

What is a Rate Card?

Rate Cards help to connect an individual or multiple offers to a Channel for distribution. This enables you to distribute the same offer to multiple Channels and adjust the offer price for each one of these Channels.

Example

  • Channel X expects their commission on all net rates of the products from Supplier A. Supplier A does not need to set up an extra set of products for Channel X, Instead they can apply the price adjustment during rate card creation and connect the expected price to Channel X

What you need to add Inventory

Adding a Rate Card

From the Channels menu on the left, select the Rate Cards tab and select +Add Rate Card.

Type the offer name in the Search field, select the correct one and click Next.

This triggers the validation process which ensures that the offer is set up with all the necessary items like pricing and inventory. Select Next.

Please note that to proceed you need to resolve any flagged item.

In the Rate Card Details screen, you are required to add a Name to the Rate Card, this could be the Channel name and the date range the offer should be available to the Channel, then ensure that the offer is selected.

If you do not want to adjust the pricing for this Channel, you can select Next.

In this example, we want to adjust the offer pricing. Select the Yes radio button under the question: Would you like to adjust the pricing? and click Next.

In the Price Adjustment section, select the price you would like to adjust and what you would like it to appear on the Rate Card as.

Then select if the adjustment value is a Flat Amount or Percentage and add the Adjustment Value: adding a minus (-) in front of the Adjustment Value will decrease the current offer price.

Select Next.

In the Connect to Channel section, a list displays with all Channels you are connected to, select the Channel this Rate Card is for, tick the disclaimer that you have a Reseller Agreement in place and click Connect.

The Holidays in Scotland Rate Card displays with the date, price adjustment details and Supplier, Product and Offer Rate IDs.

There is also a link to the Checklist that advises of additional steps potentially required in the Reseller system before they can sell the offer on their website. This might be Redeam Central ID to Reseller ID mapping or information about pictures, etc. Please work with your contact at Redeam and the Reseller to complete these steps - more info.
